Robby Toole

Robby Toole is Chief Revenue Officer for QuantumBasel. He is in charge of the AI strategy for the hub, including a focus on ethics, as well as leading QuantumBasel’s business development efforts. Before that, Robby worked for 3 years for Plug and Play, Silicon Valley’s most active venture capital firm. He started and ran the startup accelerator for the International Air Transport Association (IATA), launched Plug and Play Malta, and supported numerous initiative across EMEA.

Prior to that, Robby worked for IBM for 7 years. He was employee number 3 for IBM Watson in Europe and helped IBM’s European clients, with a focus on Switzerland, start their AI and digitalization journeys. His last position at IBM was as a business development executive for IBM Research and Intellectual Property. He focused on AI and Accelerated Materials Discovery out of IBM’s Zurich Research Lab and supported research initiatives in Zurich, New York, California, and Japan. Robby is also an expert for the World Summit Awards, a startup award system to elect and promote digital innovation that improves society.
