Yelena Guryanova
Dr. Yelena Guryanova is a Quantum Algorithms Researcher at QuantumBasel. She holds a PhD in theoretical physicist, specialises in quantum information and collaborates with both theorists and experimentalists.
Prior to joining she was co-group leader of the YIRG (Young Independent Researcher Group), a joint group between the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) Vienna and the University of Vienna, which was awarded EUR ~1.9 Million funding by the Austrian National Science Fund and conducted research on the emergence of causal order in quantum theory and beyond.
She has successfully built several international communities, including a not-for-profit registered in Austria for the support of diversity and equal opportunities in the quantum sciences, as well as community of scholars in the field of irreversibility, which culminated in the Atlas of the Irreverse – an interdisciplinary broad-audience magazine on all things irreversible.
